This document outlines the steps necessary to resolve the new flag that appears in eLink for items with specific return policy requirements. It guides users through the process of updating their eBay business policies to ensure compliance with eBay's return requirements for new parts.
We are addressing a new flag that appears in eLink, indicating a compliance issue with your eBay listings.

The flag is associated with listings of parts that are either new or in new condition, and addresses the conditions for returning these items.

The error message from eBay indicates a compliance issue with the domestic return policy for these parts.

The message states: "This P&A listing is a non-compliant domestic return, has a non-compliant domestic return policy. Please update the return window to 30 days or more, and set the return shipping cost to be paid by the seller." Therefore, any listings for new or condition new parts must have a free 30-day or 60-day return policy, and the seller must cover the return shipping cost.

Scroll down in eLink, expand the business policies section, and click on the modify button to access your eBay business policy page.

Please note, this demonstration uses a test account, so your interface may appear different.

Navigate to the 'Create Policy' section and select 'Return' from the options.

Accurately label this policy, as the policy name is what you will see in eLink. Name it "30 Day Free Returns Seller Pays".

Scroll down to the Domestic Returns section and select 'Accept'.

The default setting for the return period is 30 days.

Modify the return shipping option to 'Free for Buyer', indicating that the seller pays for shipping. Optionally, you can also configure International Returns. Then, select 'Save'.

After saving, refresh your eLink page. The updated return policy will be available under Return Presets. Select the appropriate return policy, and click on 'Save in List' or 'Save'.

Completing these steps will resolve the flag, allowing your item to be listed successfully.
