Resource, Volume and Network Monitoring

This document provides a comprehensive overview of how to monitor resources, volumes, and network within an organization. It guides users through the steps required to track usage patterns, analyze performance metrics, and gain insights into resource consumption effectively.

Step 1

To begin, navigate to "Monitoring" on the sidebar. Click the monitor icon in the sidebar to access key monitoring features.Step 2

On the Monitoring page, you can observe resources, volumes, and the organization's network.

Step 3

Start by launching Resource Monitoring to obtain real-time insights into CPU, memory, and compute resource usage. Utilize the Refresh button to ensure that you always have the most current resource data.

Step 4

On the Overview page, review pod and container level usage. Step 5

Switch to the Trends tab for a historical view of resource usage patterns. Adjust the date range to examine resource trends over your preferred timeframe.

Step 6

On the Trends page, observe CPU core usage and memory usage over time. Step 7

Click on Pod Details to examine CPU and memory usage for a specific pod. Use the pod selection dropdown to view metrics specific to a chosen pod.

Step 8

Return to the Monitoring overview quickly. Next, click on Volume Monitoring to track storage volume usage, disk space, and persistent volume performance metrics. Step 9

On the Overview page, review PVC level usage to monitor detailed storage consumption for each volume.

Step 10

Click on Trends to view PVCs by utilization trends. Access PVC details for comprehensive insights into storage trends and status. Select a specific PVC to view its usage details.

Step 11

Return seamlessly to the Monitoring page. Proceed by clicking on Network Monitoring to track network traffic and bandwidth utilization, analyze network performance, and more. Step 12

In the Overview section, view pod-level network usage for actionable insights on traffic and health.

Step 13

Examine network trends over time to detect usage patterns and potential issues. Step 14

Analyze top pods by network throughput for performance benchmarking. Explore pod details for detailed networking statistics at the individual pod level.Step 15

Select a pod to delve into its details for focused network monitoring and troubleshooting. Step 16

Finally, return to the Monitoring page.
