DOOS PIM System Toolset Overview

This document provides a detailed walkthrough of the DOOS PIM system, demonstrating its various capabilities and features. The guide will focus on the unified product repository, showcasing how to consolidate vehicles, parts, and accessories into a single, searchable repository. It will also cover efficient retrieval of product data, version history, and audit trails.

Step 1

Welcome! In this video, I will demonstrate the toolset capabilities of the DOOS PIM system. I will share various use cases to illustrate its functionalities.

Step 2

Let's begin with the first use case: the unified product repository. Here, I will illustrate how to consolidate vehicles, parts, and accessories into a single, searchable repository. This step will cover efficient methods to find product data, retrieve product records, and access the version history and audit trail.

Step 3

To get started, log into the system as a business owner. The home screen dashboard will be displayed with various features such as "My To-Dos" located on the left-hand side.

Step 4

On the right-hand side, you will find business conditions or rules, providing insights into any potential dataset discrepancies that can be easily corrected. Additionally, the bottom right corner contains saved searches, allowing direct access to accessories, kits, parts, and associated warranties.

Step 5

We have created specific entity types tailored for you. Through the search domain, access a list view displaying all entities in the system, including accessories, vehicles, and warranties. You can filter to view only accessories or any specific entity of interest.

Step 6

You can also explore the vehicles section, where different vehicle types are listed. Apply filters to narrow down your search to a particular vehicle.

Screenshot

Step 7

Organize the data by sorting it in ascending or descending order alphabetically. Additionally, you can rearrange the columns by dragging them to your desired position, or apply filters as needed.

Step 8

Suppose you want to search for vehicles with a production effective date after the end of July. Set the filter for a "greater than" condition and select the appropriate date. This will display only the relevant vehicles. You can delve deeper or access a specific vehicle, such as the Corolla Cross, by clicking on it to view its overview and summary screens.

Step 9

The displayed information can be customized based on your role and access rights. In this section, you'll find details about the mechanical block, including the engine block, engine head, and aspiration.

Screenshot

Step 10

Information is organized into various groups, such as the engine block, head, aspiration, fuel, battery, media, engine, and more, using the demo data you provided earlier.

Screenshot

Step 11

Examine the basic attributes shared earlier, along with detailed information that can be manually entered or imported. Quickly review this data as needed.

Screenshot

Step 12

As previously noted, you will find various types of information, such as fuel details and other related data.

Screenshot

Step 13

You also have the capability to create customized views, making it easy to retrieve data and review recent activities and changes for a specific entity.

Screenshot

Step 14

For instance, you can view changes made to a dataset, such as switching from diesel to petrol fuel type by the business owner. You can review all historical changes.

Screenshot

Step 15

In addition, you can download an audit history, defining what information you wish to include. I've preselected a scope for cars encompassing 50 specific attributes, allowing for personalized customization.

Step 16

Let's proceed with downloading the detailed information.

Step 17

The correct report has been generated, and I have successfully downloaded it in an Excel file format.

Screenshot

Step 18

In the report, you can see the object types, attribute names, and actions performed. It documents updates, such as the change from diesel to petrol, carried out by the business owner, as well as previous modifications by the admin user.

Screenshot

Step 19

Furthermore, the report provides a comprehensive view of all additions and updates, such as changes from five to four, with the ability to track who made the changes and when.

Step 20

This concludes the first scenario. Thank you for your attention.
