Connecting Owner Data MCP Server to ChatGPT

This document provides a detailed process for connecting the Owner Data MCP server to ChatGPT. The steps outlined will guide you through enabling Developer Mode, adding the necessary sources, and completing transactions to retrieve owner information via ChatGPT.

Step 1

To initiate the connection between the Owner Data MCP server and ChatGPT, navigate to Settings and select Connectors. If you do not see the Create button, access Advanced Settings and enable Developer Mode. This action should make the button visible.

Step 2

You have the option to create the connection directly from this menu. Alternatively, open the chat interface, click the plus icon, activate Developer Mode, and choose Add Sources. Enter the data name and provide a brief description of the tool's function. Input the URL mcp.owner-data.com. Ensure authentication is disabled, verify your trust settings, and click Create.

Step 3

Proceed to Add Sources again, activate Owner Data, and submit your request, such as retrieving owner contact information. Please note, GPT-5 might take some time to process MCP requests, so allow for a brief delay.

Step 4

When prompted to execute the function, click Yes. The system will process for a moment before providing a payment link.

Step 5

Follow the payment link. If you do not have an existing Wallet account, you will need to create one and add funds. For existing accounts, confirm the payment, and the AI assistant will confirm the transaction is completed.

Step 6

Finally, the AI will inquire if you wish to utilize the tool. Respond affirmatively, and it will present the information sourced via Owner Data, including the owner's name, email addresses, phone numbers, and additional publicly available details.
