This document outlines the process of configuring the defect master in the quality module. The defect master allows users to define the structure for categories, sub-categories, and zones related to defects. This configuration enables users to systematically manage and track defects within various zones and classifications of a product.
Begin by configuring the defect master, where users can define the structural hierarchy, which includes categories, sub-categories, and zones. These components represent the parent-level defect, under which various related defects can be categorized.

For example, you may add a defect related to fabric and configure it with a specific color designation, such as blue sequence one.

It is possible to add multiple sub-categories to the main category. Define the categories and sub-categories, as well as specific zones that might be applicable based on the type of clothing or fabric, and which areas might be prone to certain defects.

Define specific zones in this section. Save the configuration once completed, and proceed to define all applicable defects within this tab.

In this step, define a name for the defect and associate it with the relevant category, sub-category, or zone. You will also need to determine the CVRT classification (critical, major, minor), which will trigger previously defined calculations and display them accordingly.

Various configurations are available here and can be modified as needed.
