Viva Engage is a communication tool designed to help users connect with coworkers, participate in communities, and share accolades. This step-by-step guide will walk you through accessing and utilizing Viva Engage.
To access Viva Engage, go to the side menu of your Teams window and click on the three dots. Search for "Engage," and Viva Engage should appear as an option.

Click on the Viva Engage app. To keep it permanently on your side menu, hover over it, right-click, and select "Pin." Once opened, you can explore the various activities happening within Viva Engage.

The main feed displays recent posts from any community you belong to and personal posts from colleagues. This feed is organized into communities and storylines.

Click on "Communities" to view all available communities. Communities serve as discussion boards for communication. If you are joining for the first time, a "Join" button will appear for each community. Click "Join" to post within and receive updates from those communities.

Upon joining a community, you can view all posts, along with reactions and comments. On the left menu, you will find a list of communities you have joined. You can also access your storyline to see posts from colleagues you are connected with.

To follow specific people, click "Follow" next to their name. Use the "Following" toggle, to filter your feed to show only those you follow. At the top, you can post on your storyline newsfeed to share discussions, ask questions, conduct polls, or post any content you wish to share with the group.

To give praise, click the "Share Thoughts" section and select "Praise" from the options. Alternatively, you can click directly on "Praise" to start a new post.

A prompt will appear allowing you to choose a person to praise. For instance, you can commend a colleague by writing, "Thank you so much for helping me today."

Additionally, you have the option to include other individuals, such as a manager, in the praise message.

Your post will tag the person being praised, display your message, and provide options to post immediately, save it, or schedule it for a later time. You can even enhance your post by adding emojis or pictures.

Here’s an example of a recent post where praise was given to multiple colleagues. Notice the reactions and ability to comment and interact with the post.
