This document provides a comprehensive process for assigning Capstone Interactive E-Books. It addresses common issues faced by educators in sharing e-books with students, ensuring they have the correct access via proper linking methods.
Welcome, Ohio Science Explorers educators. To address some queries about assigning Capstone Interactive E-Books, I have created a few instructional videos. Let's start by locating an e-book in one of the units. We'll use the unit on erosion as our example.

Upon locating the e-book on erosion, clicking on it will open the book. It's important to note that many people mistakenly copy the link visible at the top of the page.

Avoid using the link from the browser's address bar due to InfoOhio's website structure, which restricts access to Ohio teachers and students only. Instead, to share the e-book link with students through platforms like Google Classroom or any other LMS, click on the gear icon for settings. There you will find a "copy link" option.

Use this "copy link" option to obtain the correct link for student access. Many educators face issues because they are not using this feature.

If you mistakenly use the link from the address bar, it will not work. Sharing the correct method with teachers has resolved the issue for many. It's important to communicate this information to everyone using the curriculum. This solution should help you resolve any access problems.

Wishing you success in assigning e-books effectively.
