This document provides a comprehensive overview of how to effectively utilize Hexnode's Windows enrollment profiles. These profiles enable IT administrators to pre-configure device settings, ensuring a seamless and uniform onboarding experience for Windows devices. By creating reusable templates, organizations can save time and maintain consistency across large deployments, BYOD scenarios, and repeated onboarding tasks.
Welcome to an efficient walkthrough of Hexnode's latest Windows enrollment profiles. These profiles offer a faster, consistent, and reusable method to onboard Windows devices at scale. They allow IT administrators to pre-configure device settings before enrollment, thus eliminating the need for manual setup each time. This approach is especially beneficial for large deployments, BYOD roll-outs, and recurring onboarding scenarios.

The Windows Enrollment section now features two subtabs: the Information tab and the Enrollment Profiles tab.

The Information tab serves as your starting point for enrollment. Here, administrators can select any pre-defined enrollment profile and send enrollment invitations directly via email or SMS. You can also view enrollment instructions, portal name, and other essential details. Additionally, check the co-management status to see if it is enabled or disabled.

Everything required to initiate enrollment is consolidated within the Information tab. Simply select a profile, opt to use this profile, and send invitations via email or SMS. The device will receive a link, and enrollment will commence with all pre-configured settings. The Enrollment Profile subtab is where you create and manage all your Windows enrollment templates.

The tab displays all existing profiles. You can enable or disable them using a toggle button, clone profiles for easier reuse, send invites directly from this section, and edit them for future use or create brand new profiles.

Let's proceed to create a brand new profile.

When creating an enrollment profile, you will encounter three options. The first is General Settings. Here, you can enter the profile name and description. You can also enable or disable co-management and choose to install the Hexnode service app or Remote Assist app during onboarding.

Now, let's move on to Device Configurations.

Configure the device settings in this section.

Specifically, you can add the device to a pre-configured device group, set up the department, or add any device notes in this section.

Next, we head over to User Authentication. Administrators can choose between global authentication or enforced authentication. Both personal and corporate-owned devices are supported. For this demonstration, let's switch to global authentication.

Once you have completed the setup, you can click on Save, or you can directly send invitations from this interface.

The profile is now created. You have the option to invite users from here.

Simply click on the buttons for sending mail or SMS, and the device will automatically receive the enrollment link.

Alternatively, you can go to the Information tab, select the profile you have created, and click the button to send the profiles.

This method delivers fast, consistent, and secure onboarding with reusable templates, saving time, and eliminating setup errors.

It is ideal for large deployments, BYOD environments, device replacements, and maintaining uniform configurations across teams.

With Windows enrollment profiles, Hexnode simplifies, streamlines, and scales the onboarding process for Windows devices.

Create once, use anytime, and ensure every device integrates into your ecosystem securely and uniformly.
