    Amending Customer Contracts

    In this process, you will learn how to efficiently amend an existing customer contract using the provided system. The procedure involves reviewing current subscriptions, making necessary changes, and generating updated quotes and opportunities.

    Begin by locating the contract you wish to amend within the account dashboard.

    Select the desired contract to review the customer's existing subscriptions. Then, click the "Amend" button located in the top right-hand corner.

    The system will display the existing subscriptions along with their quantities. Click "Amend" once more. Please note that it may take approximately one minute to set up the quote, as various backend processes occur during this time. These include automatically creating an expansion opportunity, which could be an add-on or a cross-sell.

    The quote is auto-generated, allowing you to adjust quantities or add additional products. This backend processing ensures everything is prepared for you. Once complete, decide the changes to make to the contract.

    If adding to the existing bundle, such as increasing the Monthly Active Users (MAUs), click to reconfigure the bundle and select the desired add-on. For example, you might add a premium integration and increase the MAUs within this area. You can also add services or change support options.

    To upgrade services, such as moving from standard to premium support, make the adjustments here. After selecting the desired options, click "Save" to adjust the existing Skilljar bundle. If adding additional products, locate the desired bundle, such as the Enterprise bundle, through the Customer Success section.

    Select the Essentials bundle for the customer and configure it accordingly. If changing pricing, such as moving from a previously set price, click "Add Products" and modify the selections. This flexibility allows for adjustments between legacy and other pricing models.

    Add the bundle and adjust pricing as needed. For instance, if licenses were previously sold at $80 and need to be increased to $100, this can be managed here. Choose whether to apply the same or different pricing as before.

    Once the modifications are complete, finalize by saving the premium integration or other changes. The system automatically prorates and sets the start and end dates. Click "Save" to create the quote with accurate pricing and submit for approvals if required. The opportunity is also created automatically.

    The expansion opportunity will be generated.

    Update the subtype to indicate that this is an expansion, possibly involving a cross-sell.

    To make further changes or add information without returning to the contract, create a new quote from this section by amending the contract directly.

    Select the correct contract and confirm your selection. This action will amend the contract without creating a new opportunity, keeping the quote within the existing opportunity.

    If a new quote is necessary, generate it from the same opportunity. Whether amending through the contract or directly from an existing opportunity, both methods maintain the necessary connections.
