
Creating a new case in Scout is designed to be simple and quick. By following the steps outlined below, you can seamlessly initiate a new case, assign it to the appropriate doctor, and ensure all necessary information is accurately captured.
To create a new case, click on "New Case". Enter the patient's name, assign the case to a doctor, and select the appropriate authorization form template for the case.

Once all information is entered, click "Save". Your new case is successfully created.

To proceed, select the species and update the patient’s weight. This step is necessary to unlock further navigation within the system.

This weight update serves as a safety feature, ensuring that all calculations are accurately based on the patient’s weight.
