This setup allows you to collect contact information (either an email address or a phone number) from the referred friend — adding validation, personalization, and control to your referral program. Unlike the basic setup, where referrals were frictionless, this version gives you more verification and customization options — ensuring higher-quality leads and more reliable tracking.

In the earlier referral setup, friends didn’t need to share their contact information — making the process quick but harder to track.
Now, you can collect either a phone number or an email address from the referred customer, ensuring a secure and traceable flow.
From your Referral Program Dashboard, click Edit Referral Setting to open the advanced configuration panel.
Here, you’ll see your existing referral configuration and earning rules. We’ll now adjust these to collect information from referred friends.

Under the Friend Information section, choose to collect either an email address or a phone number from the referred friend.
For this example, select Email Address as the required field. You can choose Phone Number instead if that suits your brand or region better.

Define when the referring customer receives their reward based on the friend’s order status.
Available options include:

You can add conditions to trigger rewards only under specific scenarios. Click the Add Tag Condition box to define when a reward should apply — for example, only when the order is marked “Delivered.”

Enter your desired tag name (e.g., Delivered or Completed) in the provided field. This tag ensures only qualified orders trigger the reward.

Rewards will then trigger automatically based on the standard order status.
After defining your rules and logic, click Save to finalize your configuration.
This ensures all updates are applied to your live referral program.
Allow about five minutes for changes to reflect on the front end.
Then, return to your storefront to verify that the new referral behavior appears correctly.
On the store interface, scroll to the bottom to view the Referral Program widget.
Customers can still copy and share their referral links with friends.
When a friend opens the shared referral link, they’ll be redirected to a landing page where they’ll:
