This process outlines how to efficiently use an existing quote as a template for a new deal, saving time and ensuring consistency across configurations. The following steps demonstrate how to replicate a successful quote for Greenfield Enterprises, which is expanding its business and requires an additional cloud storage premium subscription.
Identify the original quote. Begin by navigating to the Quotes tab in the Salesforce navigation bar. Locate the most recent quote for Greenfield Enterprises.

Greenfield Enterprises wants to purchase another cloud storage premium subscription for a new department, maintaining the same terms and pricing as their existing quote. Utilize the clone quote feature in Zoho CPQ X to duplicate the quote and quickly make necessary adjustments.

On the quote record page, click the New Clone Quote button located at the top right of the screen. If this button is not visible, verify with your Salesforce administrator that it has been enabled on the page layout.

Select the New Clone Quote button. Ensure it has been configured by your administrator if it does not appear. Then, proceed by clicking the button.

Proceed to update the quote details, starting with the Quote Details section. This includes any opportunity updates or changes to the start or end date. Then, scroll down to the Subscription section to make any necessary modifications.

Next, scroll to the Product section. The rate plan charge will have been cloned along with the discount values from the original quote.

Adjust product quantities if needed, such as increasing storage capacity or modifying discounts. The clone quote is now ready. No changes were made to the rate plan in this step.

Consider increasing the discount on premium access to 25%. Once adjustments are complete, click Save.

After saving, click Submit.

After reviewing the quote, it can be sent to Zoho and the corresponding subscription records created in Zoho Billing. The primary advantage of creating a clone quote is maintaining consistency across similar deals, minimizing manual errors, and significantly reducing quote creation time.

Note that the product details, rate plan, rate plan charges, and discount information are copied from the original quote. Customer approval data and PDF documents, however, must be regenerated for the new quote.

Cloning is advantageous for repeat deals, renewal versions, or regional variations where most configurations remain unchanged. Customer approval data and PDF documents need to be manually regenerated for the new quote.

You have now mastered creating or cloning an existing quote in Zoho CPQ. By duplicating an existing quote, you can rapidly generate a new quote with identical configurations, ensuring both accuracy and efficiency across customer subscriptions.
