In this process, you will learn how to configure the database settings in Intrepid Pro. These settings are specific to each project, so ensure your project is open before proceeding. You will access the options through the ArcGIS Pro backstage and update the database connection, validating it before applying the changes.
Make sure you have your project open in Intrepid Pro, as database settings are saved on a per-project basis. Navigate to the Project menu to access the ArcGIS Pro backstage. From here, click the Options link in the sidebar to open the Options dialog.

Within the Project Settings, locate the Intrepid settings panes. Select the Intrepid Database pane to manage the database settings. If a connection string is currently in use, it will be displayed here.

To modify or input a connection string, click the Database icon adjacent to the text box. This action will open the Database Connection dialog. Input the necessary details to connect to your database server.

The system supports both database authentication and integrated Windows authentication, with the latter generally recommended. After entering all necessary information, click the Test Connection button to verify a successful connection to your database. Once confirmed, click OK to save the new database connection string and close the Options dialog by clicking OK again.

After saving your database settings, a restart of Intrepid Pro is necessary for the changes to take effect and for the data to be visible within the application.
