Zuora Quote Configuration

This process allows you to configure component layout settings on the quote pages within Zuora. By following these steps, you can choose whether the Quote panel, Subscription panel, and any added field sets appear collapsed or expanded when a page is loaded. This configuration is applicable for new quotes, renew quotes, amend quotes, and cancel quotes.

Step 1

The component layout configuration settings let you arrange the Quote panel, the Subscription panel, or any field set added to the quote pages. You can choose whether they appear collapsed or expanded when the page loads. This setup can be applied to new, renew, amend, and cancel quotes.

This setting streamlines the user interface, making it more intuitive by displaying only the necessary information. Let's proceed to configure the settings.

Step 3

Navigate to Zuora Config. Select Quote Studio Settings.

Step 4

In the Component Layout Configuration, two components are listed: the Quote panel and the Subscription panel. Currently, the panels are set to display as expanded in new, amend, renew, and cancel quotes. We will update it so that the panel is collapsed in new quotes.

Step 5

Set the quote panel to be collapsed and the subscription panel to be collapsed for new quotes, as well as for amend and cancel quotes.

Step 6

Similarly, set the subscription panel to be collapsed in new, amend, and cancel quotes. It will remain expanded for renew quotes. Now, let's configure the field set.

Step 7

To configure the field sets on the quote page, click on the dropdown, and CPQX-related field sets will be displayed. First, hide the billing attribute field set.

Step 8

Set it to be collapsed in new, amend, renew, and cancel quotes. If needed, you can apply this configuration to a specific profile by enabling the toggle button and selecting a profile from the list. For now, let's cancel this and disable it, so it applies to all profiles.

Step 9

With these settings configured, click save. You can now proceed to create a quote.

Step 10

Click on new quote. You will notice that the quote panel and the subscription panel are both collapsed; you need to click the dropdown to expand them. The subscription billing attribute field set is also collapsed and can be viewed upon expansion.

Step 11

Check the renew quote by clicking on renew for the subscription. Here, the quote panel and the subscription panel are expanded, whereas the billing attribute is collapsed.
