This document provides a comprehensive walkthrough for configuring an S-Docs template within Salesforce. The following steps will guide you through the creation, definition, and utilization of the template, ensuring it meets your organization's requirements.
Begin by accessing the S-Docs interface in Salesforce. Start by navigating to the S-Docs section.

Click on the app launcher and select S-Docs Classic. From the available tabs, choose S-Docs Templates.

Proceed to create a new template by clicking "New." Assign a name to this template.

Enable only the required fields. Click on "Allow Edit." Set the Related Type, Related To Type as Zuora Quotes.

For Template Format, select PDF. As there are no other mandatory fields, click "Save."

With the S-Doc template created, proceed to define it by clicking on the Template Editor.

In the Template Editor, select Template Body and click on Source. Copy and paste the sample Zuora template from the documentation site. Once the template code is inputted, click "Save." To verify the template's functionality, apply it to a quote.

Duplicate the current tab for further actions.

Access the app launcher and navigate to Zuora Quotes. Under the Quotes tab,

select a quote. Copy the quote ID and return to the S-Docs template.

Navigate to Advanced Option. Paste the copied quote ID into the Preview ID field. After pasting, a Preview button will appear.

Click on the Preview button to view the document.

The default template includes details such as quote number, name, validity, and other charges. Customize the template as needed. Once satisfied, close the preview.

Ensure the template is satisfactory, then save your changes.

To validate document creation from S-Docs, return to the quote page. Find the S-Docs button among the top-right buttons. A custom button is configured to select the default template.

Refer to the documentation for further guidance. Click on the custom button you created.

Observe the creation of the S-Docs document. You have options to email or view the document.

Regarding the template: it extracts key details such as account name, quote number, subscription terms, and total contract value. You can customize the layout, add placeholders for Zuora fields, and incorporate your organization’s branding.

Finally, assign the template to an appropriate record type or profile in Salesforce, ensuring availability to the relevant users.
