Network Device Configuration

This document details the steps for adding and configuring new devices in a system, including PLCs and HMI panels. Carefully follow each step to ensure proper configuration and functionality of the devices on the network.

Step 1

To add a new device, access the "Add New Device" section, select the desired PLC from the list or enter the name manually. Choose the correct firmware version and confirm with "OK". Wait for the device to finish loading.

Wait for the device to be fully loaded to ensure all functionalities are ready for use.

To set the IP address, double-click on the device and access "Profinet Interface" and "Ethernet Addresses". Set the IP address to 192.168.0.20. If it's not associated with an existing subnet, create a new one by right-clicking and entering the required information.

Save the project. In the "Devices and Networks" section, the PLC will be visible. Use the "Show Address Labels" option to display the addresses. To add another device, like a panel, go to the "HMI" section and select an appropriate panel.

Choose an IP address for the new device. Double-click on "interface", ensuring it is in the same subnet. Select a compatible IP address, such as 192.168.0.10. In the "Devices and Networks" section, the devices will now be correctly connected.
