This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to connect your YouTube account to repurpose.io using two distinct methods: during the workflow setup and via the connections page. Please note that having a Google account does not automatically equate to having a YouTube channel. Ensure you have created a channel and possess owner access to successfully connect it.
In this video, you will learn the process of connecting your YouTube account to repurpose.io using two methods: during workflow setup and from the connections page. Remember, having a Google account alone does not automatically grant you a YouTube channel.

Initially, you'll need to create a YouTube channel if you haven't done so already. Ensure you have owner access, not just manager access, to connect your channel. Let's explore how to connect to YouTube during the workflow setup. Start by navigating to your dashboard and selecting Create Workflow on the top left, or simply Workflows if you have previous workflows.

Choose the type of workflow you intend to create. You have the options of Existing or Future. For this example, we will select Future.

On the left side, where it indicates Source, select YouTube if you wish to make it a source for your workflow.

If you've connected accounts before, a pop-up will display the accounts you've added. If this is your first connection, it will prompt you to choose a Google account linked to your YouTube channel.

Proceed to sign in to the appropriate Google account.

Ensure you grant all necessary permissions. It is advisable to select all permissions and then click Continue.

Your YouTube connection is now established within the workflow type. Within the Workflow tab, you can select your destination to any other social media platform.

If you prefer to set up your accounts beforehand, here's how to proceed from the connections page.

Navigate to Connections on the left side and click Add New Connection in the top-right corner.

A pop-up will appear, allowing you to select YouTube from the list of options.

Another pop-up will enable you to rename your connection or modify permissions in the Advanced Settings section.

It is recommended to opt for Full permissions.

Click Connect to proceed.

After clicking Connect, you will be redirected to Google's account page if this is your initial connection. Select the appropriate Google account linked to your YouTube channel.

Again, ensure you approve all necessary permissions.

Congratulations! Your YouTube channel is now completely connected to repurpose.io. You can begin automating your uploads, repurposing content, and significantly saving time.
