This document provides detailed instructions on how brands can integrate the email marketing platform Klaviyo with the Nectar platform to streamline communication efforts. The process involves setting up an API key in Klaviyo, configuring it in Nectar, and utilizing triggers for automated marketing campaigns.
Begin by navigating to the Integrations section on the Nectar platform. From there, click on Email Marketing.

Within the Email Marketing section, locate Klaviyo at the top of the list.

Click on "Configure" to initiate the integration process. You will be prompted to select a common property and enter a private API key.

Select a common property, such as an email address. For the private key, navigate to the Klaviyo platform to obtain the API key.

Proceed to the settings step to continue with the configuration.

In the settings, locate the API key section.

Click on the API key section to access your private API key.

Click on the private API key to generate a new one.

A new API key will be created, which you can name according to your preference.

Naming the API key is optional. For this example, we'll name it "test" and ensure it has full access.

After providing the necessary permissions, click on "Create" to finalize the API key creation.

Copy the newly created API key, return to the Nectar dashboard, and enter the key in the appropriate field.

Click on "Initialize" to begin the integration process.

Upon successful initialization, a confirmation pop-up will appear, indicating that the integration is complete.

To trigger events, define the events you wish to send to the Klaviyo platform. Create any event as needed.

For example, create an event for "wallet points rewarded" and send it to Klaviyo.

After clicking "Create Event," the event will start being sent to the Klaviyo platform.

Return to the Klaviyo platform to create a new journey using the triggers received from Nectar. Access the Flows section to start a new flow.

Select "Build Your Own." Name the flow according to your brand's preferences and proceed with creating the flow.

After creating the flow, you will be prompted to set up a trigger.

Select the trigger from your metrics. The trigger created in the API section should now be available.

With the trigger in place, configure the journey according to your brand's needs and save the configuration.

Upon saving, the journey will be activated.

You have now successfully configured various customer automation and campaign flows. This concludes the integration process. Thank you.
