Efficient Project Monitoring

This document provides a comprehensive overview of the process to compare actual construction progress with the planned schedule. It offers insights into the state of work across different floors and trades within a project, enabling effective tracking and management of activities to ensure timely completion.

Step 1

The actual versus planned view offers project teams valuable insights into the comparison of actual site work versus the schedule. This view provides a detailed breakdown, floor-by-floor, of the entire building. As per the legend on the right, various colors indicate the status: green represents activities on schedule, red indicates activities behind schedule, blue shows activities ahead of schedule, and gray signifies in-progress work with missing plan dates. You can filter on the left side by all trades, or narrow it down to individual trades such as mechanical work, drywall, finishes, and more.

For instance, walls and sprinkler work have not started, while domestic pipe work is 10% completed as opposed to the 100% planned completion. You can also view incomplete tasks per trade and identify what is lagging. The left number represents actual work completed, and the right number shows planned work per the schedule.

Step 8

If a room is marked in green, it indicates the room is on schedule with no late or ahead tasks and no outstanding tasks. Overall, the actual versus planned view provides insights into how work is progressing on site according to the schedule, helping you identify areas that are lagging behind, on schedule, or ahead of schedule.
