This guide provides a step-by-step process for listing airbags on eBay. To successfully complete this task, you must first become an ARA member and gain CAR certification. Once these prerequisites are fulfilled, the guide will walk you through the details of creating a compliant eBay listing using eLink.
To list airbags on eBay, you must first become a member of the ARA. Visit ara.org to register as a member.

Once you are an ARA member, navigate to the certification section to begin the process of becoming CAR certified.

The website provides comprehensive information on obtaining CAR certification and preparation. If needed, contact ARA for assistance. After achieving CAR certification, ARA will guide you through the eBay approval process.

The approval process is swift. Upon completion, you can start listing your airbags on eBay using eLink.

When listing through eLink, be mindful of specific requirements for the listing.

Select an airbag to list. Note that eBay has a dedicated policy page for these listings.

As you scroll, you will find important information that must be included in the description: "I certify this airbag is not subject to recall and will be shipped in accordance with hazmat shipping requirements." Ensure this statement is precisely included in the eBay listing description.

In eLink, navigate to the item details section and add the required description. You can also manage this process in bulk. Scroll down to review category requirements.

Ensure that the eBay category one is set to the 'airbags' category.

Set eBay category two to 'airbag parts.'

Include the donor VIN in your listing.

eLink will automatically enter the donor VIN if it is provided during inventory. Save and list the item afterward.

These steps can be applied in bulk.

Select multiple airbags, then proceed to bulk change item details and descriptions, and update category placements in bulk.

eLink automates category placement.

In cases where changes have been made...

Ensure that categories are set to interior parts, interior safety, and airbags.

Confirm changes by selecting 'yes.'

Adjust eBay category two settings as necessary.

Proceed with the adjustments as needed.

Should any errors occur, correct them immediately.

Set category two to car and truck parts, interior parts and accessories, interior safety, and airbag parts.

Click 'update' to finalize the listing.

Ensure everything is in order before proceeding.

You can pre-set disclaimers and categories within part types for efficiency.

Once an airbag is inventoried, these settings apply automatically.

Inventorying an airbag automatically applies all necessary settings, eliminating the need for daily manual updates.

Go to the description section, input the necessary description, and verify category settings.

Ensure eBay category one is 'airbags' and category two is 'airbag parts.'

Confirm the categories are correctly set.

Proceed to the next step, noting that auto-listing is optional.

If you choose to auto-list, a separate video tutorial is available on our channel.

Verify the settings, then click 'apply and save.'
