Adding Subcategories to Collections

This document provides a comprehensive guide on how to add subcategories to your collections. By following these steps, you will be able to navigate through your collection page, use the meta field functionality, and configure the mobile app builder to reflect the changes.

Step 1

Begin by identifying the collection for which you want to enable subcategories.

Step 2

Navigate to the collection page, where a meta field called "Collection Submenu" has been created to facilitate this process.

Step 3

Select the meta field and proceed to add the desired collections to the submenu. For this tutorial, add the specified three collections and ensure to save the changes. Additionally, include an image for each submenu item.

Step 4

Ensure every collection has an associated image for proper display on the app. Save your changes, and then access the mobile app builder.

Step 5

Within the mobile app builder, navigate to the product lists page. Locate the plus icon to add a block.

Step 6

Select the subcategories images block and drag it to the top of the list. Utilize the previously created "Collection Submenu" meta field by adding it to this section. Once configured, the app will update to reflect these changes upon publishing.

Step 7

Preview the changes to verify the results. Once satisfied, proceed with publishing.
