Navigating User Records in Compass

This document provides a detailed process on how to search for records created by a specific user within Compass. Follow the steps below to efficiently utilize the Smart Filter and Advanced Filter features on both the student profile and services pages.

Step 1

If you need to find records created by a specific user, Compass offers an option to do so. Here, we'll guide you through some examples.

Step 2

We will examine records created by a specific user under the student profile section.

Step 3

Navigate to the student profile page. Click on the Advanced Filter located at the top right-hand corner and use the Smart Filter.

Step 4

Within the Smart Filter, select "Created By" to access a drop-down list of all users in Compass.

Step 5

Choose Joshua Smith from the list to view the records created by this user.

Step 6

Click "Apply" and wait for the page to refresh. If no results appear, remove the school year filter to broaden the search.

Step 7

Select a record and click on the digital fingerprint icon to confirm it was created by the selected user.

Step 8

Alternatively, navigate to the Services page and follow the same procedure.

Step 9

Click the Advanced Filter on the top right-hand corner. Under Services, use the Smart Filter to select the same user, Joshua Smith. Remove any default date restrictions to view all actions by this user.

Step 10

Click "Apply." You will see a list of all records entered by Joshua. Select a record and view the digital fingerprint to confirm that Joshua Smith created it.

This filtering option is available on multiple pages wherever the Smart Filter is accessible.
