    Grading Student Results in Mzizi

    This document outlines how teachers can enter, review, and analyze student grades in Mzizi, including formative and summative assessments, comments, and reports.


    Step 1: Open the Exams Section

    From the main Mzizi dashboard, click on Exams to begin the grading process.

    Step 2: Select the Subject and Open Grading

    Choose the relevant subject from the Exams section, then click on Grading to access the grading interface for that subject.

    Step 3: Choose the Student to Grade

    Locate and select the specific student whose results you want to capture by clicking on their name or record in the list.

    Step 4: Capture Formative Assessment Results

    In the Formative section, record the student’s performance by selecting the appropriate option (e.g., Met Expectation, Below Expectation, or any other available performance level).

    Step 5: Capture Summative Assessment Grades

    Switch to the Summative section and enter the grades for the student for each exam associated with the subject.

    You may choose to enter grades by grading line or use other available input options.

    Step 6: Review the Grading System and Expectations

    Open or view the grading system to understand what each grade or performance level represents and what is expected of each student.

    Step 7: Switch Between Grid and List Views While Grading

    Use the available view options to toggle between grid view and list view while grading students, depending on which layout you find more convenient.

    Step 8: Add Comments and Adjust Student List

    For each student, capture comments that reference their performance, strengths, areas for improvement, or any other relevant observations.

    If necessary, adjust or increase the total number of students displayed or included in the grading interface to ensure all students are captured.


    Step 9: Review Captured Results

    Once results have been entered, review the captured results for accuracy and completeness.

    You can then view these results as they will appear in report cards.

    Step 10: View Cumulative Student Reports

    Access the cumulative student report to see overall student performance across exams and strands.

    Step 11: Generate Report Cards and Analyze Performance

    Generate a report card for the subject to view the detailed performance of each student in that subject.

    You can also view the student grading pass-up for the subject to identify:

    • Most improved students
    • Top-performing students
    • Lowest-performing or bottom students
