This process involves using the SonicWall platform to efficiently create and manage various types of reports. By utilizing the new reporting template feature, users can streamline their report generation process, enhancing productivity. These steps will guide users through logging in, creating a report template, setting up rules, and generating reports within the SonicWall platform.
To begin, launch the SonicWall Platform by visiting platform.sonicwall.com. This feature helps customers and MSSP partners generate different types of reports from a single location, thereby enhancing administrative efficiency.

Log in using your My SonicWall credentials and complete the two-factor authentication by clicking "Next." You will then be logged into the SonicWall Platform, which serves as SonicWall's unified management console. To access the NSM user interface, click on the "Firewalls" menu located on the left navigation pane.

Proceed to the "Reports" section. You'll notice a new option labeled "Report Templates." To begin, create a new reporting template by clicking "Add."

Here, you'll find various report types available. Select options from either the management reports or the reporting and analytics categories. Assign a name to the template and choose the required reports.

For demonstration purposes, select productivity reports along with any additional desired reports, then click "Create." With the report template prepared, navigate to "Report Rules" to begin utilizing it for your report configurations.

Click "Add Rule" to establish a new report rule. A new "Report Template" option will be available. Click "Next."

Choose between individual reporting or the new report template from the dropdown menu. Provide a name for your report and select the report template you wish to use. Click "Next" to continue.

Select from Tenant, Firewall Group, or Individual Firewalls, then click "Next." You can either schedule the reports or generate them on demand. Choose the delivery method—archive or email—and click "Next."

Review the details and save your settings. A scheduled report has now been created. Using the "Action" menu, you can also execute and download the report.

Finally, click on "Generate Report." The report is successfully created and ready for download.
