This document provides a step-by-step approach to configuring various settings within the Zuora platform. Each step includes an explanation of specific options available, allowing users to customize their setup to best suit their operational needs.
Define the number of rate plans displayed per page. The default is 20, and pagination restarts numbering for each page.

Use the invoice preview dropdown to control how invoice items are displayed. The default setting is the intelligent invoice item preview retrieval.

Choose the standard option for a fast and balanced display of the most important details without showing everything. Key totals and the initial few invoice line items will be visible, providing a good balance between speed and detail for day-to-day quoting.

Select the option to retrieve all items for a detailed view, displaying every line item that will appear on the final invoice. This option may slow down the process due to its thoroughness.

This option is ideal when an exact complete invoice view is needed before finalizing a deal. It is particularly useful for complex quotes with numerous charges, though it may slow down the quoting process.

Retrieve only an aggregated single invoice item per charge. This is the fastest option, showing only the main summary totals with minimal details.

Display only the main summary line items, such as subscription charges or total MRR, without breaking down into individual products. This is optimal when speed is the priority and detailed line item validation is unnecessary.

Configure the maximum charges for loading optimization. This option determines whether subscription data loads synchronously or asynchronously during quote creation. The default is set to 30.

Define the sequence of charges within their rate plan when added to a quote. This setting specifies the order of charges in Quote Studio.

Choose between sorting charges alphabetically by charge type and name, with group discounts below all other charge types (default), or sorting all charges alphabetically.

Select the default update action for new products in amend quotes to be set to the original product add date. This impacts RAM quotes.

Determine whether updates default to the interval start date or the quote start date. We will keep this option disabled.

Ensure all updates on the amend quote align with the quote start date. Opt to view amend quotes from the quote start date rather than the subscription start date.

Enable the setting that requires the hide original one-time charges option. Prohibit backdated actions prevents contract effective dates earlier than the quote start date.

Enable preview pending subscriptions, allowing pending subscriptions to be previewed even if trigger events occur upon service activation or customer acceptance.

Activate the lookup filter, enabling custom lookup fields in Quote Studio with a refresh filter button to apply updates.

Decide how tiered or volume charges should behave on amendment or renewal quotes by selecting one of the three available options discussed earlier.

For versions 10.37 and above, define how tier list price and effective price behave on amendment and renewal quotes. Decide whether to retrieve tiers and list prices from the product catalog or from the subscription.

Configure the setting to retrieve tiers and list prices from the product catalog while getting effective prices from the subscription. The default setting retrieves the effective price from the subscription and sets the default tier list price to the effective price.

This concludes the demonstration.
