In this guide, we'll walk through how to easily get around and use a workspace set up for managing ongoing projects. The main goal is to make things straightforward and user-friendly, so you can quickly reach different parts of the system. This workspace is all about project management, showing you active projects, who's in charge, and which formulas are affected in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution.
Start by opening the workspace, which is built to be easy and intuitive. This interface gives you quick access to all the important areas, including a project manager tool that helps you keep track of ongoing projects, see who’s responsible, and spot which formulas are impacted within the PLM system.

Once you're in, look over the list of suppliers linked to the materials used in the formulas. Decide if you need to take any action with these suppliers, and check out any documents related to specific formulas and materials. Your main goal is to find out who’s responsible for what, what needs to get done, and when things are due. You’ll see a welcome section and a document monitor that shows the status of documents, like which ones are about to expire.

Next, check out the widgets section. Here, you'll find small panels that display the most important info from the system. The first widget is a project monitor. If you click on a project—like the jam project—you’ll get detailed, relevant info for that project.

For the jam project aimed at raising BRIX by one percent, you can see when this part of the work is due: November 6, 2025. Right now, only one person is assigned, but more roles still need to be filled. If you scroll down, you’ll also see which formulas are linked to this project, including a general formula and one tailored for specific production plants.

Click on the first formula to see a picture of the jam in context. If you keep scrolling, you’ll come across the Bill of Materials (BOM) connected to this formula.

Take a look at the list of ingredients for the bulk jam, keeping in mind it hasn’t been packaged yet. The list covers basics like fruit, sugar, water, pectin, plus other gelling agents and colorants.

Go over the bulk jam’s ingredients: fruit, sugar, water, pectin, and colorants. If you want more info, just use the article monitor and click on “sugar.” This brings up three related documents—all of which have already expired.

Make sure any expired documents show as pending approval. The system will remind you to reach out to the right supplier and make sure everything’s up-to-date. Plus, as a project manager, you’ll see a list of all the BOMs that use sugar.

In just about five minutes, you can get a complete overview of every project, right down to the smallest details, starting from all tasks still in progress.

These workspaces can change depending on who’s using them. For project managers who want a big-picture view, the current setup works well. But if you’re a master data manager who needs to keep item info up-to-date, the widgets will adjust to those needs.

You can easily update your workspace whenever you need, and IT teams or superusers can create special setups to fit your company’s workflow.
