This document outlines the steps to effectively utilize the combined classes feature, which allows you to merge two or more classes based on specific criteria, simplifying the process of managing attendance and scheduling.
We have introduced the combined classes feature, which allows for the merging of two or more classes based on shared attributes.

In this example, three classes have been combined: English, AP Government, and AP United States History. These classes have six, two, and seven students respectively, making a total of 15 students. The classes are combined based on having the same start and end times and location.

Classes are combined when they have the same start and end times and location. In the other example, although the 20th Century Propaganda and Roman Empire classes share the same start and end times (2:00 to 3:45), they are located in different rooms, "Fantastic" and "Awesome," and thus are not combined.

Staff users can save time by taking attendance directly for combined classes. They can either manage all 15 students at once or use the dropdown in the top left to filter by class and mark attendance accordingly. Completing the attendance will apply to all three classes.

The combined roll functionality helps save time and is also available on the extension.
